Jim Weinberg Lifestyles Collection of Contemorary Couture Rugs specializes in the re-creation of the highly desired antique carpets from the town of Oushak, Turkey. These carpets employed the use of softer, more muted tones as opposed to those of their Persian and Indian counterparts from the same period, circa 1880-1920. Woven in 21st century Oushak, their carpets incorporate hand spun wools many of angora, as well as organic dyes. Their factory was the first in Oushak to initiate methods commonly referred to today as 'green'. Additionally their custom capabilities are among the most diverse available. They are also pleased to offer one of the finest selections of Tibetan carpets being woven today. These sumptuous works are created using the highest quality Himalayan wools and are produced in numerous knot counts in either 100% wool or wool and silk combinations.
